NWC begins implementation of a package of environmental services development projects in Jeddah at SR 42m

The National Water Company (NWC) has recently started the implementation of sanitary drainage projects in several residential districts in Jeddah at a cost of 42 million Saudi Riyals.  The projects include the implementation of sublines with a length of more than 29.7 Kilometers. This is part of NWC’s work and plans to improve the level of services provided and develop the infrastructure of the environmental sanitation sector.

The company explained that these contracts include the construction of sewage substation projects that will serve several districts in the governorate, including Al-Nahda 2, Beach 6, and the residents of these districts will benefit from them as soon as they are completed.

NWC indicated that the projects will contribute to expanding the coverage of the sewerage networks in the Governorate of Jeddah, in addition to lowering the groundwater level in the beneficiary districts and eliminating the resulting environmental damage.

The company stressed that it will continue its work to upgrade the services provided and expand the coverage of water and sanitation services in Jeddah. This will be done through a package of development projects that it is working to implement in accordance with the highest international standards, in light of the residential and urban development witnessed by the Governorate, and to keep pace with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
